The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, December 31 reveals Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) will tell Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) he’ll only ever love one woman.
Also coming up, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will ring in the new year together. Plus, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will ask Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) for her help. And Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will have sex with Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei).
Y&R spoilers tease Adam and Sally will get each other’s takeout bags from Society. They’ll switch them and Sally will mention the Abbott Newman war. “You choose to cave to Victor,” she’ll add. Adam will ask if she has to get home to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Sally will say he’s on a business trip.

He’ll tell her Chelsea Newman’s (Melissa Claire Egan) at home with the flu. “Why don’t we have a drink and try not to fight.” They’ll agree on no work talk and flash back to the first time they spent New Year’s Eve together and purposely didn’t celebrate it. Sally will ask how it’s going with Chelsea and Adam will say they’re doing well.
But he’ll admit it worries him that she’s with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). “I’m happy,” Sally will say. However, Adam will point out Billy’s unpredictable. “I don’t want you to get hurt.” Sally will make a face and Adam will realize she’s worried about the same thing. Then they’ll count down to the new year and clink glasses.
At the GCAC, Kyle will run into Victoria and he’ll say he decided to give up on Claire Newman (Hayley Erin). Victoria will remind him they had a lot of obstacles to overcome. Kyle will admit he made a lot of mistakes and he’ll bring up Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
He’ll also mention that if his entire family turned against him maybe The Mustache would stop his vendetta against the Abbotts. “Will you and Nikki convince Victor to back off Jabot?” Kyle will ask. Victoria will say Victor is who he is. However, she’ll do what she can to bring peace into the new year.
In Cane’s choo choo train, he’ll be pleasantly surprised when Lily shows up. Cane will tell her he planned to spend New Year’s Eve alone, and he’s happy she’s there. He’ll offer her champagne and strawberries. But she’ll tell him she hopes the launch party didn’t give him false hope.
Cane will say he thought they had a good time. “It wasn’t the real you,” she’ll reply. ” So, I don’t think there’s a reunion for us, I think we are farther apart than ever.” Cane will be upset and ask why she showed up there. “It doesn’t make any sense.” Lily will say he’s still a liar and he’ll ask about what. “What happened between the launch party and now?”

So, she’ll tell him she saw him kissing Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). “Just after we had this great night where I think that maybe, maybe you and I…I feel so stupid.” Cane will say that’s not what happened. “I am not going to let you play me again.” she’ll reply.
Cane will say he put an end to the kiss immediately. “She kissed me! I would never risk losing you again.” Then he’ll tell Lily he will only ever love one woman. “You.” But Lily will say she came there to tell him to stay away from her. But Cane will point out she came there to see him.
“You want me as much as I want you,” he’ll add. “So why don’t you just admit it.” Cane will move in closer and ask her to stop pretending they don’t belong together. “So will you please let me love you?” Then Cane will kiss her and Lily will kiss him back.
Meanwhile, Daniel will ask Tessa what happened with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). “I’ve lost Mariah,” she’ll reply. Daniel will ask what Mariah did. Tessa will say she left the clinic. “I thought maybe she was coming home.” But instead she got a text from her wife saying she checked herself out.
Tessa will add that she sent a present to Aria but wouldn’t even video chat with her daughter. “All I can hear in my head is that she is never coming home,” Tessa will add. “I don’t matter to her anymore.” Daniel will say they don’t know what’s going on in Mariah’s head.
“I’m sick of hurting Daniel,” Tessa will tell him. “I don’t want to live like this.” He’ll tell her he’s there for whatever she needs. “I need to feel loved,” she’ll reply and kiss him. Then they’ll end up at his apartment and will have sex. But is Tessa going to regret it?
